Budget Car Rental

I had a pre-paid reservation, so this should've been easy. However this was the only rental car agency with an extreme line on the day I was here for pickup. I asked someone at the front of the line how long they have been waiting and they said one and half hours (plus apparently there was additional wait getting your car after the desk). I did not have this much time, many people are traveling on time constraints, so what was the point of a reservation. I went over to another agency got a car in 10 minites at the same rate I had with Budget. Just avoid the headache, don't use budget here unless they learn how to staff and operate correctly. Beware. Also I called Budget and explained the situation (that this location was struggling) and they refunded me as they should've, good customer service from the company as a whole.

I reserved and prepaid for a select size abd model and of course it was not available. They said they only had an electric car available which i didn't want to be spending extra time charging during my visit. Ive also experienced long wait times at the counter here at San Antonio Airport and the customer service is definitely lacking. I have had much better experiences at other Budget Airport locations so I think this is more a specific location issue that needs to br addressed through retraining etc

I've been waiting in line for an hour. There is only one person working the desk. She had requested help and management has left her with this line and no help. This is the worst car rental experience including countries we claim to be better then I've ever experienced

Renter beware. I will never rent with Budget again. I picked up my car on May 20th and returned it on May 24th with no damage. I was told I would receive my $200 deposit the day I returned the car. Instead, they charged me the original fees plus the $200, totalling over $800 for 4 days. After receiving no deposit for days, I called customer service. They told me it would actually take 3-5 business days to deposit into my account. After 6 business days and no returned deposit, I call again. Suddenly, they "released the funds on May 22nd"?? I didn't return the car until the 24th so this makes no sense. They said they would "send a fax to my bank" about it. Sure Jan. They stole $200 from me for no reason after an already overpriced rental. I will never rent with Budget again and I suggest you do the same. They are not trustworthy whatsoever.

I waited in line for over an hour to pick up my vehicle at the San Antonio airport, despite having a reservation. There were 2 agents to handle Avis and Budget customers. One agent was extremely slow taking 15 minutes or more to process each rental. With a line of 20+ people, she then closed down her work station, packed up her belongings, and left. There was then only one agent to handle the long line. After I had the vehicle for one day, the dash started to display a message that the windshield fluid was low and another message that the key FOB battery needed to be replaced. I went to a local Budget office in a mall near the Alamo and the agent there did replace the key FOB battery. I recommend using another company other than Budget if you are at the San Antonio airport.
