I’m a hertz gold member and I can never just come to this location with no issues or hiccups. I made my reservation a month ago there was still a 30 minute wait for the car. I have never experienced this in any other city. The planning and logistics for customers picking up has to be better. Chicago doesn’t have many locations in the city so this being the nearest hertz and not a good experience is making me want to stop renting with hertz altogether in Chicago. The first photo shows at least 5 people waiting who all had reservations ahead of coming in. The second photo within 5 minutes there were 7 people waiting, who all had reservations. Preparation at this location has to be better.

I’ve rented a few times from this location now in the last few months. Monique has always been around somehow when I go to pick up/dropoff, and she’s the best at coordinating rentals. She’s single-handedly bringing the reputation of this location back up.

Staff is rude; they have zero sense of customer service. Would not recommend this place at all. I booked my reservation through the website; it said I would get a Kia Soul or similar. I booked the option of a mid-size sedan. When I got there, they were giving me a Kia Soul. I told them this is not a sedan; I want a sedan. And then the guy working there said, “Well, I know my cars, and this is a sedan.”

DO NOT COME HERE!!! Do not come to this Hertz location, go literally anywhere else! After calling ahead to schedule a pickup I was left at the repair shop with no pickup. They didn’t schedule the taxi and didn’t even call me to let me know, just left me stranded at the auto repair shop where I asked to be picked up. I tried calling 3 times but the phone just kept ringing and no one picked up. The auto-shop manager called me a taxi! When I got to the location there was an hour long line to get inside and only one customer service agent. Then a 20-min wait for a car. Worst rental experience of my life, and I’ve had lots.
