There is no Avis staff here at this location, and this is called a “satellite location” of Avis which is only accessible by hotel guests. However, when you make a reservation online, the “hotel guests only” wording only appears in a very inconspicuous section of your rental agreement. I have to call Avis and was told that I have to get a car from another location,and the price is 3x more expensive than I paid online! As you might have seen in the other review comments here, even if you are a hotel guest, the pick up experience is absolutely a nightmare. The hotel staff told me that they had received many complaints about Avis but nothing they can do to it since it is an agreement made between Loews and Avis. And neither of the company gives a d about how customers experience.

We were stayed at the Loews hotel and made reservation in advance because had a helicopter tour and to reach location we needed a car. We had specific time for a tour so It was unexpected when we came to pick up the car and could not find Avis office there but representative told us that we supposed to wait when our car provided from another location, we were waiting 30 min and after we have a call and Avis representative told us that we have to come to another location to pick up a car. We were upset because we did not have time for that and we had to take a tax and spend more time and money for that. 05/26/2024

Location does not exist Hotel is great about it but you cannot get a car here the location is a 16 minute walk away. They are aware of this and claim they have called corporate about it but Avis won’t do anything about it.

There is no Avis counter on this location. DO NOT reserve or request to drop off at this location: Loews Hotel, 455 N Park Dr, Chicago, IL 60611 !!! The website allows you to reserve or request to drop off at this location. But then you’ll be asked by the hotel manager to call Avis. Avis suppose to pick you up on this location and takes you to their main location which is about 1 mile away. When I called the local phone, the phone line kept giving me busy signal. When I called by clicking the phone number listed on the app, it redirected me to a call canter located overseas. The call center didn’t know that this location has no Avis counter. I met a young gentleman who was dropping off his rental car. He was nice enough to give me a ride to the main office. Otherwise I had to walk over a mile in a hot day. I asked the lady on the counter about this situation. Apparently I am not the first one complaining about this. I was the fifth for the day. Even the employees have been asking to shut down this location till her face turn blue, no one listen to her. Apparently, this has been going on for over a year. OMG. AVIS, DO SOMETHING!!!! My message to you all, DO NOT reserve or request to drop off at this location !!!

Can agree with the previous comments. There is NO drop off station at Park street. I had already booked this drop off station when I read these comments. So I called Avis prior to drop off date and the lady told me to drop the car off at 214 North Clarke street. The lady there was really nice and also confirmed that park street doesn’t exist as an Avis drop off station.
