Worked out well for me. Quick check in and return. Happy with the car and no issues with the rental. Was very close to my hotel and saved me time vs going to the airport for a pickup. You’re able to leave the vehicle in the parking garage after the location is closed and comeback and return the car the next day (avoids having to pay for overnight parking). Also, cheaper than airport rate. Only issue was that the car gas was almost empty at pickup - of course unless you like riding on the edge you’re always going to return the car with more gas to avoid being stranded.

I’ve rented from from the airport and other locations many times but the service here is on another level. From the moment I walked in, the staff was professional, welcoming, and incredibly efficient. They had my paperwork ready to go, and I was behind the wheel of a perfectly detailed Dodge Durango in minutes. No high-pressure sales tactics or hidden fees—just honest, excellent service. I won't go anywhere else for my future rentals!

I had an excellent experience with Avis in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. The location is extremely convenient—right in the heart of downtown and close to everything. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was professional, friendly, and very helpful throughout the entire rental. The vehicle was clean, well-maintained, and ready on time. Returning the car was just as easy and quick, which made the whole experience stress-free. Customer service really stood out—they were clear about pricing, policies, and answered all my questions without hesitation. Thank you

Be careful renting car here. Make sure you check all the tire. Went back to hopefully getting an exchange. They said no car available and only higher price car are available. That I need to pay. The guy wasn’t taking the matter seriously. I end up just end the rental on the spot.

First time trying out this rental spot and I can definitely say I will be back again! Friendly service, no hassle, upgrades available and to top it off my car was very clean, i appreciate the customer service at Gaslamp Avis! Keep up the great work.
