I have been renting vehicles with Alamo for many years whenever they are available. During this trip, the vehicle experienced an engine malfunction after two days. I contacted their roadside service, and they arranged for me to exchange the vehicle at the nearest location the next morning. The process was smooth and quick, and no questions were asked as the customer service representative had already followed up on everything. The drop off staff was very friendly and even offered a discount after hearing about the issue with the car. Overall, the service was professional and handled very well.

Pickup was quick and intuitive. The layout of the garage is easy to navigate, and the self-service kiosks help avoid unnecessary lines. What really stood out, though, was the customer service. Ali, who assisted me during pickup, was excellent—professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He took the time to answer questions clearly, made sure everything was set up correctly, and ensured the process was stress-free. That kind of service makes a real difference. I had a fantastic experience renting from Alamo at the San Diego Airport, and I want to give a big shoutout to Charlie, who truly went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The car I originally reserved wasn’t available when I arrived, which could have been a hassle—but Charlie handled it with total professionalism and a genuinely helpful attitude. Instead of just offering a basic replacement, he took the time to understand what I needed and made sure I drove away in a vehicle that actually suited my trip even better. He didn’t just solve the problem—he made sure I felt valued as a customer. That kind of service is rare these days, and it really stood out. Went with Alamo after bad experiences at the cut rate rental companies that require waiting for their shuttle van pickup after you take the bus from the terminal to the rental car site. Huge improvement. Smooth Operation and worth a few $ more. Good price on a Luxury Car. I’ll use Alamo again.

I usually use Alamo when I go to the USA and it has always been good but the service in San Diego was exceptional. From arriving to the helpful agent to the lady in the car pick up area and then when I got back to drop the car back I was greeted by an incredibly helpful outgoing chap who was so pleasant and although I was a bit late as I had had some bad news from home he asked me how I was and as I was having a bad day so far he gave me discount. Now that is unbelievable and certainly would not happen here in Europe but I simply cannot recommend Alamo highly enough and especially in San Diego not because of the goodwill discount but because the service the kindness and sensitivity of the management and staff are unbeatable.
