Save yourself the frustration. The car you reserve likely won’t be available, and neither will anything comparable. They’ll offer a lower-class car and still expect you to pay the original rate.

Avoid! turned up and got told they didn’t have the car available that we had pre-booked 2 months in advance. Got told they only had one car available (a small SUV) on inspection the we noted that the low psi warning light was on, they assured us this wasn’t an issue and that we need to pump the tire up at the local petrol station (very unprofessional) but we did so as we were told it was the only car available. The tire went flat again within 24 hours, we got fed up and called the emergency helpline after pumping up 10 times in 7 days which they charged us for despite photo evidence of the flat tire on pickup. Worst car hire experience in 7 years of hiring cars. Spend $50 more and hire a car from a company that at the very least provides roadworthy cars.

It was terrible. I spent an hour and a half looking for the parking lot entrance. There were NO signs!!!! Enter the UNDERGROUND parking lot from the flower st side ONLY and not any other way. Park your car near the AVIS signs and walk towards the escalators, where you will find the "office." It's a shame, I cried for an hour while searching, and the employee was very cold towards me! PLACE A SIGN ON THE STREET AT THE ENTRANCE

Very arrogant and unprofessional staff -one of them named Salvatore and another guy who was just sitting on his cellphone the whole time making smirky comments. This place needs to educate their staff. We were told by Budget customer service that domestic partners can be added on with no extra fee, so we booked a car online with Expedia at this location in good faith that this was the policy and that it would be honored. The customer service center never mentioned that each office can have their own policy when we booked the rental. When we arrived they would not honor the domestic partner for free. They said they would charge unless the extra driver was married with the same last name. It is very poor service that Budget advertises one policy but each office can have their own policies. That is false advertising in my opinion. I can understand that this was a miscommunication on customer service part but the staff at this location were beyond rude. I have never encountered staff like this before. They gave me the phone number to call the owner at the Wilshire office. When I called the Wilshire office, I was told that the owner is out of the country and the worker at that office said she has only met him twice. Obviously the owner Harry (that was the name that Salvatore gave us as the owner of this franchise) runs his business very poorly. Better pay a little more but get professional service elsewhere.
