It makes sense why this location isn’t highly rated. Made a reservation in advance & the car was pulled around w/ the interior covered in mud. Initially, the employee was helpful and offered to take it back in to clean it so I waited patiently. The photos attached show how it was brought out for the SECOND time. You can’t translate through pictures the fact that it also had been smoked in. Their only solution was, “You’ll have to wait awhile while we detail it or we have a 12 passenger van.” It was already an hour into my reservation time and I had somewhere I had to be for business. This was booked under a business rental code (Budget, look it up as I’m sure you don’t want to lose business with this co.) I spent +$40 to uber from the airport to the rental car location and another +$260+ for a same-day rental at another company that actually does their job. I provided those receipts in a customer service request. Budget denied my expense refund request. Do better.

The audacity to blame customer is admirable I had run into some of the best budget employees here and some of the worst. Rented here multiple times, but the recent experience was a disaster. I was supposed to return the car in the morning. As i get to the location, other customers were standing outside, and no staff was there even though it’s supposed to open half an hour before I get there. I called the customer service, since we did not know how much longer we need to wait and the customer service told me it’s okay as long as i return the car the same day. So i went back later, explained the situation to the staff. She wasn’t even apologetic about it and just said “why don’t you leave the key at the drop box?” I didn’t even see a drop box and was never told i could do that. Like i want to make a separate trip during my lunch break to return the car??? I only chose that drop off time because it would not let me return before the location open. And she still kept saying we have a drop off outside blah blah blah, and repeated it at least three four times. I don’t want any compensation or coupons, and no apology? Fine whatever. The least she can do is just to get the return done, instead of questioning me like i work there and blaming me for what I was never told. The audacity to blame customer is really admirable. I wish i have her courage👍

We booked a 10ft cargo van two weeks in advance. When we arrived, was told that only a 16ft truck was available, which we obviously didn't need or feel safe in! So much for reservations - the least they could have done was to ring ahead before we wasted time and money ubering all the way to the location. Was offered 12ft if we went way out of town. Instead we went to the local Enterprise who sorted us out on the day for half the price we were going to pay originally. Lesson learned!

I do not know why it took me so long to write a review about this Budget/Avis location. I'm a traveling comedian and I rent cars frequently if I'm not flying. I rented from various rental car companies in Columbus but this location is by far is the best! Customer service is phenomenal, very friendly. Get you in and out. Their fleet of vehicles are very NICE, and they always try to find a great deal for you. I stopped renting at the airport once I found this location. A+++!!!
