The office staff 743 Bway location are the nicest, collegial, hard-working bunch of people I’ve ever encountered in a NYC car rental agency! Picked up on 5/22/2026 and dropped off on 5/25/2026. If you were working on either of these days, I hope you are being treated well!

Really great experience renting here. Nikki went above and beyond — super organized, friendly, and made everything feel effortless. Pickup was quick, no issues at all. Easily one of the smoothest rentals I’ve had.

Originally, I rented a car on a Saturday afternoon from Avis on 43rd Street. I got there and they had no cars !!! (Imagine). Long story short I called National Car and Kobie answered and told me there’s one last car I can rent out in the next hour and saved my day! Just start with they answer the phone calls pretty quickly, they are hands on and don’t send you to their website to make a reservation. I got there and in 15 min I was already on my way. Also, the best part I returned it at midnight and didn’t have to look for parking in New York City.

Staffs are very professional and attentive. This lovely lady at the front desk prepared paperwork while this other well-dressed gentlemen retrieved the car. Although this is just a small neighborhood location, they still recognized my status and gave me an upgrade to a fairly new Infiniti Q50. Returning the car after hour was fairly easy as the garage attendant is present overnight. Will certainly visit this location again for my next rental!
